ShopList V1.0 ReadMe
--------------------
I have provided two versions of ShopList.
ShopListHIRES is for the Amiga's standard
display of 640x256 or 640x512 interlaced
(you get to choose which display mode you
require when you start the program).
ShopListVGA is for monitors (eg 1438 or VGA)
which can display 480 or more lines without
resorting to interlace mode.
If you only need one version, delete the
one you don't need then rename the version
you will be using to ShopList.
Happy Shopping... :)
PS.. I would like to take this opportunity
to air a pet grievance.
Will programmers please limit their ReadMe's,
and docs to 80 characters per line or less.
It's so frustrating when reading a doc file
with Multiview, to read to the end of a line
of text, then having to use the scroll bar
at the bottom of the screen to read the rest
of the line, then having to scroll back to
the beginning of the line to start reading
the next line, then losing track of which
line I'm supposed to be reading, ARRGGGHHHH.
PPS.. MILLENIUM BUG IN SAS/C 5.1b
I have not included the year in the displayed
date in the titlebar in ShopList because of the
so called 'Millenium bug'.
It seems that the programmer of the 'ctime' routine
decided that the first two digits in the year would
always be 19, so in the changeover to the year 2000,
1999 becomes 19100. Just using the first four digits
as most programmers will do, when the year 2000
arrives, we are magically taken back to 1910...
Only Amiga makes it possible.. :)
